Scrambling up the Costa Rican hillside, Casa Celeste makes no mistake about its primary intention. This is a home for outdoor living, with a full-length balcony that gradually widens from a quiet sitting area, to a family dining table, to a generous and tower-like outdoor living room that invites a fresh breeze from all directions. Peering over the shoulder of Casa Rosita, another Las Catalinas home designed by Via Chicago - Casa Celeste manages to be both impressively tall and delicately understated, depending on your vantage point. As you approach Paseo Punta Penca it maintains a low, private profile. Rounding the corner onto Calle Virginia, a dramatic, three-story tower announces the intersection and serves as a marker within the neighborhood. The west facade throws its arms wide open, curving around a central pool terrace in full embrace of the tropical context.

Casa Rosita was created in collaboration with local interior designer Diana Blanco, a favorite partner of the Via Chicago team.
