Architect Notes
In October 2018 Via Chicago transformed an 8’x20’ refurbished shipping container into a living & breathing design studio, as part of the Box Shops market on Randolph Street. A floating gallery wall - featuring past and current projects - helped expose a new crowd to the firm’s unusually diverse architectural offerings. The 160 square foot box hosted constant design charrettes, daily client meetings, a fun meetup with the AIA Bridge program, and even a rowdy late-night birthday party to close out the month. The unexpected addition of a service company into a typically retail-focused setting helped drive foot traffic throughout the month, and activate the central courtyard space on a daily basis.

Box Shops was designed and built by our talented friends at Latent Design.
